I had a wonderful time at St Kilda East Backpackers' hostel. The group of guests I met were friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and considerate atmosphere. The owner was a fantastic host, going out of her way to ensure everyone was comfortable and happy. The facilities were clean and the free Wi-Fi was a bonus. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I immediately felt right at home here. I highly recommend this hostel.

I chose to stay at St Kilda East Backpackers' hostel solely because of its convenient location near Luna Park Melbourne. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's free wifi and free onsite parking. The communal kitchen was also a great feature as it allowed guests to prepare their own meals, adding to the overall convenience of the stay.
Uncomfortable beds. Dirty and small bathroom sinks.

I had an amazing experience at St Kilda East Backpackers'. the people there were so fun and welcoming, it felt like being part of a big, happy family. There were a lot of long-term guests, which made it easy to socialize and make new friends. the location was also great, with the beach just 20 minutes away and the CBD 40 minutes away. Plus, the backyard with a BBQ was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a smoke. And Alan, the caretaker, was always there to roll a joint and ensure we never ran out of weed. it was a vibrant and enjoyable stay. Cons: For us, it was ideal 👌.

Our room at St Kilda East Backpackers' Hostel was cozy and comfortable, perfect for our family with two small kids. We loved having access to the shared kitchen facilities, which made it easy for us to prepare meals for the little ones. The communal lounge area was spacious and inviting, a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
Although the room was equipped with daily housekeeping, we personally would have liked a bit more frequent cleaning.

The location of this hostel is great, with easy access to St Kilda Luna Beach area and other fun spots. There are amenities like a backyard with a BBQ and a cozy outdoor area with a round table and a sofa. the communal spaces have a relaxed atmosphere, and the little library is well stocked with free books to enjoy.
The hostel could use some tender loving care and maintenance, as it is a bit rundown and lacking in certain areas.
